whats up guys im looking for some input on my current run - im 6'0 around 202 lbs and about 8 weeks into 500 mg test e right now. sitting at maybe 15-17% body fat give or take
basically i want to be shredded by the time summer hits but im having a hard time deciding what to do next. it feels like a total waste of gear to start cutting while im on 500 mg of test but at the same time i feel like bulking all the way until april and then doing a crazy crash cut sounds like a bad idea too.
i really want to make the most of this cycle but the goal is definitely to be lean soon. my plan is to stay on the 500mg for 20 weeks total then just cruise after that.
also if i do decide to start the cut now would it be stupid to add some anavar into the mix or should i wait? just trying to figure out the best move here thanks
honestly man, 15-17% isn't a bad spot to be in at all. if you start cutting now on 500mg of test, you aren't "wasting" it—the gear actually works better to preserve your muscle while you're in a deficit. i’d say start a slow taper on the calories now so you don't have to do that crazy crash cut in april. your future self will thank you lol
20 weeks is a long time to stay on 500mg tbh. if you’re already 8 weeks in and feeling like you want to lean out, just lean into it. throw in the anavar for the last 6-8 weeks of the cycle. it’ll help harden you up and keep your strength high while you're dropping the fat. var and test is basically the classic summer combo for a reason
id probably keep bulking for another 4 weeks then do a "mini cut" to see where you’re at. 202 lbs at 6'0 is a good frame but you dont want to get too sloppy before summer hits. also just a heads up, 500mg for 20 weeks might start trashing your lipids or blood pressure towards the end, so just keep an eye on those if you decide to go the full distance
if the goal is to be shredded, start the cut sooner rather than later. its always better to be lean by may and just maintain, rather than rushing a cut in june and losing half your gains bc you were starving yourself. and yeah, anavar is great for finishing off a cut, but save it for when you're already starting to see some definition
dont do the crazy crash cut man... i did that last year and it was miserable. i ended up feeling flat as a pancake and lost a lot of the strength i worked for. if i were you id drop to a slight deficit now and keep the training intensity high. the test will do its job and keep you looking full even while the fat comes off
wait on the anavar until you hit like week 12 or 14. if you start it now and you're planning on going to 20 weeks, your liver is gonna be hating you by the end lol. maybe just tighten up the diet a bit and do some extra cardio for now? you got plenty of time to get lean before the beach weather really hits
