I feel like absolute death right now. It looks like I'm going to be stuck out of the gym for at least a full week, and we all know how it goes-it'll probably take another two weeks just to get back to where I was with my strength and fullness.

I literally only get sick maybe once a year, so of course it has to hit me right now of all times.

I know that in the grand scheme of things a couple of weeks won't ruin everything, but it's hard not to feel like I'm just throwing away three weeks of potential progress. It's just frustrating to have the momentum killed like this.

man i feel your pain - there is literally nothing more tilting than getting sick right when the momentum is clicking. i usually try to tell myself the forced rest might actually help my joints or something but let’s be real it just sucks watching the pump fade away. hang in there and just focus on hydrating so you can get back at it faster.

literally me last month lol. i felt like i shrunk 10 pounds in three days just from the lack of carbs and water. dont stress too much about the strength though - muscle memory is a real thing and you’ll be surprised how fast it all snaps back once you get a good meal and a session in. get some rest brother.

honestly take the full week off and dont try to rush back too early. i made that mistake before and just ended up being "half sick" for like a month which wasted way more time than just resting. it feels like you're losing everything but it’s mostly just water and glycogen - you arent losing actual muscle that fast!

rip to the gains haha just kidding man but i totally get the frustration. it’s always when you’re hitting pr’s or finally feeling lean that the universe decides to humble you with a fever. just stay on top of your vitamins and try not to look in the mirror too much until youre back in the gym lol.

that "three weeks of progress" comment hits home so hard. it’s a total head game. try to look at it as a deload that you didnt want - sometimes the body actually needs the break to grow even if your brain is screaming at you to lift. hope you feel better soon man!
