man i feel like absolute death right now which basically means im gonna be out of the gym all week and then it'll probably take another 2 weeks just to get back to where i was with my strength and size its so frustrating.

i only ever get sick maybe once a year so of course it has to happen right now in the middle of a blast. i know it probably doesnt matter much in the long run but it really feels like im just throwing away 3 weeks of progress because of this shit. literally the worst timing ever

dude i feel your pain. it literally always happens when the progress is starting to get good. just try to remember that the "loss" is mostly just water weight and glycogen - you aren't losing 10lbs of actual tissue in a week. just rest up man.

man that is the worst timing... middle of a blast too? that sucks. but honestly if you try to push through it and go to the gym while sick you'll just stay sick for 3 weeks instead of 1. take the hit and come back 100% next week.

literally me last month lol. i was so pissed. but i actually ended up hitting a PR two weeks after i came back because the forced rest acted like a deload. your body might actually need the break even if your brain hates it!

the worst part is the mental game of watching the scale drop while youre stuck in bed. just eat what you can and stay hydrated. once you get a pump back in you it'll all come rushing back in like 2 days i promise.

dude i feel that "throwing away progress" feeling so hard, especially mid-cycle. it feels like you're literally deflating lol. but trust me, the muscle memory is real. you’ll gain back in 3 days what you "lost" in 2 weeks. just get some sleep man.

man that timing is brutal. i used to lose my mind when this happened but now i just look at it as a forced deload. your joints probably need the break even if your ego doesn't. drink some broth and stop looking in the mirror for a few days!
