Work was absolutely ridiculous today. They had me doing a million extra tasks, and then I had to redo half of it because apparently it wasn't good enough the first time - honestly, some of the people there were just being completely miserable for no reason.
To make matters worse, I was told to stay out of the lunchroom, but then someone told me to go in there anyway to help move a patient. Next thing I know, I'm having a massive allergic reaction to coconut.
I ended up in the ER, and you won't believe this - the nurse who was supposed to give me the EpiPen had the thing backward and managed to inject herself instead. They eventually gave me Benadryl through an IV and I just completely blacked out.
When they finally woke me up to send me home, I was still so out of it from the meds. I ended up walking two blocks in the wrong direction before I realized I had no idea where I was going and had to call a friend to come pick me up.
I got home and crashed for another four hours. On the bright side, I got a solid 13 hours of sleep and still cleared 8 hours of holiday pay, so I guess it wasn't a total wash.
