What are your favourite carb sources that you eat on a day to day basis. Many talk about the effects of diet like water retention, mood etc from having a good or bad diet, so curious to know what peoples carb sources are.

mostly jasmine rice and sweet potatoes for me. i try to keep it "clean" during the week but man if i have a high salt/carb cheat meal i wake up 5lbs heavier from the water. the scale is a liar haha.

fruit!! i eat a ton of pineapple and bananas. people sleep on fruit carbs but they're great for digestion and keep my mood way more stable than heavy processed stuff.

i'm a huge potato guy - red potatoes, gold, whatever. feel like they keep my muscles looking "fuller" than when i just eat pasta. plus the potassium helps with the cramps if ur training hard.

cream of rice with a scoop of protein is a game changer. i used to do oats but they made me so sluggish in the morning for some reason. rice just hits different for energy levels without the crash.

honestly white rice is my holy grail. super easy on the stomach and i dont get bloated at all. if i touch bread i look like i'm 6 months pregnant lol so i just stick to the rice and some honey pre-workout.

rice is definitely king for me lol i can eat like three cups of jasmine rice and not feel bloated at all. plus it goes with basically any protein. i tried doing whole wheat pasta for a while but it just made me feel heavy and sluggish during my workouts

honestly i live on cream of rice and honey lately. it’s so easy to digest and the pumps are insane if you eat it like an hour before hitting the gym. i noticed when i eat too much bread i get that watery look in my midsection so i try to keep it mostly gluten free

potatoes are my go-to but man they take forever to prep sometimes. red potatoes are awesome though and they dont mess with my digestion like sweet potatoes do. sweet potatoes always give me the worst gas lol so i try to avoid them if im gonna be around people

i might be weird but i love oatmeal even when im bulking. i just throw some protein powder and peanut butter in there and im good for hours. it keeps my energy way more stable than eating sugary stuff which usually leads to a crash by noon

honestly just white rice and fruit. i eat a ton of pineapples and bananas for those quick carbs. i feel like the natural sugars in fruit give me a better mood boost than eating processed cereal or whatever

cereal is my guilty pleasure man lol i know it's not the "cleanest" but a big bowl of honey nut cheerios after a workout is literally the best thing ever. i dont really notice much water retention as long as i keep my salt in check

i stick to sourdough bread mostly. i heard its easier on the gut and i honestly feel way less bloated compared to regular white bread. plus it makes the best toast for eggs in the morning. definitely worth the extra couple bucks

i do a mix of pasta and jasmine rice but i gotta be careful with the pasta portions. if i go too crazy on the carbs at night i wake up with a total "moon face" the next morning lol. its all about finding that balance for your own body

basmati rice all the way. its got a lower glycemic index than jasmine so it doesnt spike my insulin as hard and i feel like my energy stays more consistent throughout the day. i also do cream of wheat sometimes when i want something different
