I’ve been looking through the JSP 950 guidelines for my application and I seem to meet all the medical requirements for asthma, except for one thing. It says something about oral steroids, and I've actually had two courses of them in the past.
Does anyone know if this is going to be a dealbreaker? I’m worried that having those two courses on my record might keep my application from being successful, even though everything else with my asthma is totally fine and fits the criteria. Just wondering if anyone here has dealt with this or knows how strict they are about it.
from what i remember it’s usually about frequency not just ever having them
two courses doesn’t sound crazy tbh, a lot of ppl with asthma have that
guidelines always read scarier than they end up being
if everything else is controlled i doubt it’s an instant no
feels like one of those things they look at in context
i’d be surprised if two short bursts alone killed an application
asthma criteria can be weirdly specific but also flexible sometimes
might come down to when they were and how severe things were
i know people who had steroid use on record and still got through
doesn’t sound like you’re hiding anything so that helps
worth asking someone who’s been through the process already
