short answer yeah they’re not really interchangeable, they do totally different jobs

tamox feels more like a band-aid vs aromasin actually lowering estrogen

I wouldn’t think of it as a straight swap at all

they overlap a little but not enough to treat them the same

swapping without a plan usually causes more confusion than fixes

definitely one of those “sounds similar but isn’t” situations

short answer yeah you can but they’re doing totally different jobs so it’s not really a clean swap

tamox doesn’t actually lower estrogen, it just blocks it in certain spots like breast tissue. aromasin actually brings E2 down

if you’re just worried about gyno signs tamox can help, but if E2 is actually high you’re prob gonna feel off without an AI

i’ve seen people use tamox when they can’t tolerate AIs, but it’s more of a workaround than a replacement

honestly depends why you’re using it in the first place. symptom control vs actually managing estrogen levels are two different things
