so topical anti-androgens sound great on paper right? you think your gonna get all the perks of oral fin or dut but without all the nasty side effects that come with taking a pill everyday.

but honestly have any of you guys actually seen results with them? like has anyone here really noticed a big difference once they started using topical solutions because im kinda on the fence. right now im on oral dut and topical minoxidil but the results arent as aggressive as i was hoping for so im thinking about maybe adding oral min plus some topical anti-androgens too.

just feel like theres tons of data out there for stuff like min and fin but not nearly enough for these topicals- we definitely need more people sharing there actual experiences. take ru-58841 for example... some guys say it saved their hair for years and then others are saying it gave them chest pains and theyll never touch it again. just hard to find objective info when everyone says something different lol

Honestly man topicals are such a mixed bag. I tried RU for about six months and it definitely stopped the shedding but the constant mixing and applying was a total pain in the ass. I didn't get the chest pains people talk about but it made my scalp super dry and itchy.

if oral dut isn't giving you the results you want i doubt a topical is gonna be the "magic bullet" but it might help edge out some more growth. just be careful with adding oral min at the same time as new topicals or you wont know which one is actually doing the heavy lifting lol.

the lack of long term data on RU is what scares me off. like sure it works for some guys but who knows what it does to your heart 10 years down the line?? stick to the stuff we actually have real studies on if you value your health more than a few extra hairs imo.

i've been using a topical fin/min mix for a year now and its been way better for me than the pills. zero side effects and my hairline has actually filled back in a bit. i think the delivery method matters a lot so maybe look into a better carrier solution?

dude i'm in the same boat as the chest pain guys... tried RU for literally three days and felt like my heart was racing every night. never again. some people just react way more than others. i'd stick with your dut and maybe just give it more time- hair takes forever to grow back.

have you looked into pyriliutamide? its supposed to be the "safer" version of RU but yeah like you said the anecdotal stuff is all over the place. its hard to trust anyone on reddit because half these guys are probably imagining half their symptoms anyway haha.

honestly i think topical anti-androgens are mostly cope for guys who are scared of fin sides. if you're already on oral dut and its not working that well your probably just fighting a losing battle with genetics man. maybe try microneedling if you haven't yet? that actually has some solid data behind it.
