I’ve always used Private MD Labs for my blood work in the past, and they usually send over a confirmation code for Quest right away. It makes things super easy because I can just check in on the tablet when I get to my appointment, and the results link up to my MyQuest account without any hassle.
This time I went with Goodlabs, but my appointment is tomorrow and I still haven't received a code. Does anyone know if the results will still show up in my MyQuest profile automatically? Or am I going to have to manually go in and request them once they're ready?
yeah i’ve used Goodlabs too, usually they don’t auto-send a Quest code like Private MD Labs, kinda annoying
from my experience, your results might show up eventually, but it’s not guaranteed, better to ask them ahead of time
i usually just call the lab once i don’t get a code and they send it manually, saves waiting around
honestly it’s a little annoying switching services, some are way smoother with Quest integration than others
if you want peace of mind, hit them up today and make sure your results will link properly before your appointment
i switched to goodlabs once and it was such a headache compared to private md lol. honestly i didn't get a code either but the lab tech just looked me up by my name and dob and it worked fine. just don't expect it to pop up in your myquest app immediately- usually u have to wait for the email from the testing site first then u can import it.
man private md labs is the gold standard for a reason- the convenience is worth the extra few bucks. goodlabs usually takes a bit longer to process the paperwork so dont panic if u dont have the code yet. just bring your order confirmation on your phone and show it to the front desk and they should be able to pull it up manually.
in my experience they dont always link up automatically to myquest like they do with private md. i usually have to go into the quest portal and "request historical results" once the lab is actually finished. it’s an extra step but not the end of the world. good luck with the draw tomorrow!
lol i literally had this happen last month. i just walked in and told them i didnt have a code and they just asked for my id and found the order in like 2 seconds. it didnt show up in myquest till like 3 days after the results were actually finished though- so dont stress if it seems like it's taking forever.
u might have to manually grab the pdf from the goodlabs site and then upload it yourself if u want it all in one place. i noticed some of these cheaper sites dont have the same "auto-sync" features as the bigger ones do. just make sure the name and info on your account match exactly what u put on the order or quest wont find it.
