One thing that drives me nuts is when a guy new to gear asks for advice, but you can tell he isn't actually listening to a word you say.

I see it all the time. They aren't looking for real guidance; they just want someone to give them a "thumbs up" on the plan they already made. They've already decided on the compounds and the doses, and they’re just waiting for a green light. You try to tell them the basics-start with low doses, get your bloodwork done, don't stack five different things at once, and actually learn how your body handles one drug at a time. They'll nod along like they get it, and then they go out and do the exact opposite.

The fallout is always the same. Within a few weeks, the side effects start hitting. They can't sleep, their anxiety is through the roof, and they're dealing with estrogen issues or blood pressure spikes. Then the panic sets in. Suddenly they’re blowing up your messages looking for a quick fix for problems that shouldn't have happened in the first place. It’s frustrating because it wasn't unavoidable; they just skipped over the "boring" foundation work that keeps you safe.

I’ve realized you just can't save everyone. Advice only matters if the person is actually ready to listen, and unfortunately, experience is a pretty brutal teacher. Eventually, you just have to lay it out for them: "this is what works, this is what’s going to mess you up," and leave the rest to them.

Most of the time, the gear isn't the problem. It’s ego and impatience. Everyone wants to look like a pro before they've even put in the time. The guys who stay in this game for the long haul are the ones who respect the process, even when it feels like progress is moving at a snail's pace.

How do you guys deal with this? Do you keep trying to help the new guys out, or do you just step back and let them learn the hard way? I’d love to hear about the times you’ve seen someone ignore solid advice only for it to blow up in their face.

man i stopped giving advice to the "know-it-alls" a long time ago. it is so annoying when you spend 20 minutes explaining why a first cycle should just be test and they respond with "so you think i should add the tren now or wait a week?

you hit the nail on the head with the ego and impatience thing. everyone wants the 10 year physique in 10 weeks and they think more oil is the shortcut. then they wonder why their hair is falling out and they cant breathe after walking up a flight of stairs. i just let them learn the hard way now- experience is a brutal teacher but some guys won't listen to anything else.

i literally had a dude ask me for advice last month and i told him to start slow with 300mg test. he ignored me and jumped straight into 500mg test plus deca and dbol for his first run ever. guess who was blowing up my phone 3 weeks later because his nipples were itchy and he looked like a water balloon? i just told him "i told you so" and left it at that.

the worst part is when they panic and start taking even more stuff to "fix" the sides they created. like they'll throw in a bunch of AI and crush their estrogen and then they feel even worse. it’s a total disaster. i try to help the ones who actually seem humble but if i see that "i know better" look in their eye i just check out.

its the same in every gym man. the guys who actually look the best are usually the ones who kept it simple for years. the guys who jump on everything at once usually disappear after six months because they burnt out or their health went to shit. you really cant save people from their own stupidity sometimes.
