so lately ive been getting the worst shin pumps whenever i go out for a jog and its driving me crazy. usually i get about a mile in and then i literally have to stop and walk because they get so tight. i really dont want to lower my dosages if i can help it so what do u guys do to fix this or at least make it manageable?? honestly i love jogging just as much as i like hitting the weights so its super annoying that this is happening now. appreciate any tips u guys have because i dont want to give up my cardio sessions

man i feel your pain. shin pumps are actually the worst thing ever lol. have you tried taking extra taurine? i usually do like 5g before i head out and it helps a ton with the tightness.

Honestly i had to just stop jogging and switch to the elliptical for a bit. the impact makes it so much worse when youre on a cycle. maybe try a lower impact cardio for a few weeks?

banana and coconut water are your best friends here. sounds simple but the potassium and hydration makes a huge difference for me. also try to loosen your laces a bit- sometimes that helps the blood flow.

dude the taurine thing is legit. 5-10g a day and they usually go away in like 48 hours. dont drop the dose yet just try the supplements first!

i literally had to stop mid-run yesterday because of this lol so i feel u. it feels like your shins are gonna explode. i find that stretching my calves really well before hand helps keep the front from getting too tight.

are u drinking enough water? usually when mine get that bad its because im dehydrated. try adding some electrolytes to your water bottle and see if that helps at all - good luck man.

it might just be the extra weight youve put on lately too. more muscle = more pressure on the shins when u run. maybe try walking at a steep incline instead of jogging? same burn but way less pump in the shins.
