look i've never really been the most flexible guy on the planet but i still make sure to carve out time every single day for stretching and some mobility or plyo stuff. usually it keeps me moving okay but i just wrapped up a 3 month bulking cycle and im honestly losing a lot of ground with my flexibility lately. its like my hips and inner legs are just constantly tight and i've even been getting cramps just laying down in bed which is annoying as hell.

my hamstrings and adductors literally feel rock hard no matter how much i try to roll them out or stretch. i dont know if its just the extra weight or some kind of weird electrolyte imbalance from the gear but its definitely getting worse. anyone have some thoughts or suggestions on how to loosen this stuff up? im open to pretty much anything at this point lol

man i feel this on a spiritual level. whenever i bulk my mobility just goes out the window. honestly it might not just be "tightness" but actually inflammation from the extra food and gear. try adding in some taurine- like 5g a day- it helps a ton with those weird cramps and the "rock hard" feeling in the muscles.

lol the "bulk stiffness" is so real. you put on 10-15lbs and suddenly u cant even tie your shoes right? its probably a mix of the extra muscle mass and holding a bit of water. id stop the heavy static stretching and try some "weighted" mobility like deep goblet squats or lunges. helps loosen the adductors way better than just sitting on the floor.

r u drinking enough water?? i get those same bed cramps when my electrolytes are trashed. try some magnesium glycinate before bed and see if that stops the seizing up. also for the hips- look up "pigeon pose" and hold it for like 2 mins per side. it’s painful as hell but it’s the only thing that saves me during a blast.

i had this exact issue last cycle and it turned out i was just super dehydrated from the extra weight i was carrying. the muscles get so full of glycogen and water that they literally have no room to move. maybe try a couple "maintenance" days with lower carbs and see if the tightness lets up a bit?

definitely check your blood pressure man. sometimes when my bp gets a bit high on a bulk my muscles feel way tighter and "pumped" even when im not doing anything. but yeah- foam rolling is basically useless when the muscle is that deep-seated tight. try a professional sports massage if u can swing it... they'll kill u but youll feel like a new man after.
