hey guys wanted to start a thread to chat about endurance training methods and how the body actually handles it- whether your using special "supplements" or just going natty. i’m definitely not a coach or anything i just really like nerding out over this stuff in my free time
most of what i’m gonna post is probably gonna be focused on cycling since thats my main thing but honestly most of the principles carry over to any endurance sport your into. im planning on starting with the basics and then moving into the more technical science-y side of things as we go
awesome i love this! i’m a runner but i totally agree that the principles are pretty much the same across the board. there is so much bad info out there about endurance training so having a thread to nerd out on the actual science is going to be great. looking forward to seeing what you post about cycling- my legs always feel like lead after a long ride lol
this is perfect timing man. i just started getting more serious about my zone 2 training and i have like a million questions about how to actually optimize recovery. whether someone is natty or using a little "extra" help- the heart and lungs still gotta do the work. following for sure!
cycling nerds represent haha! i could talk about vo2 max and power output all day long. are you planning on covering stuff like fasted rides or more on the nutrition side too? either way i am here for it. its cool to see something other than just "how much can you bench" on here.
congrats on starting the thread bro. im curious to see your take on how the "supplements" actually change the training approach- like do you push the volume way higher or just recover faster? i dont know much about the cycling world so this should be a fun read.
