opening it up again without a real sterile setup would stress me out more than just pinning it as-is

i’ve seen the agar plate stuff mentioned too but it feels more like peace of mind than anything definitive for home use

if you don’t trust the gear enough to pin it straight, that’s usually a sign to rethink the source rather than add extra steps honestly
