just curious if most of you guys actually filter your domestic oils or not i know for a fact that anything from china is a must but im wondering if its even worth the effort for the local stuff?

local stuff feels lower risk, but some people still do it just for peace of mind

I think it comes down to how confident you are in the source really

better safe than sorry honestly. even if the source is "local" you have no idea if the guy brewed it in a clean room or his kitchen. for the $5 it costs for a syringe filter its worth it just to avoid a nasty abscess or a week of fever lol.

honestly i filter everything. even the domestic guys are just buying raws from china anyway so the risk is basically the same. i had a bad run-in with some "pro" domestic gear a few years back that gave me the worst pip of my life... never again man.

i know people who never filter and they're fine but i just cant bring myself to risk it. plus it gives me peace of mind knowing there isnt any random dust or crashing particles in there. its a bit of a pain but better than a trip to the ER.

if its a top tier domestic source with a huge rep i usually just pin it as is. maybe im lazy but if the oil is clear and there's no visible floaties i trust it. if it looks cloudy though i'm definitely running it through a filter first.

bro you'd be surprised how much gunk a filter catches even on "clean" looking oil. definitely worth the extra 10 minutes of work. plus it helps if you're worried about high BA/BB concentrations irritating your muscle. stay safe out there!
