I had a package get grabbed by USPS about 7 months ago and ended up getting one of those seizure letters. How long do you guys usually wait before you feel safe using that same address again?

Is 7 months long enough to be out of the woods, or should I keep laying low for a while? I'm curious what the general rule of thumb is for this kind of thing.

man i got one of those like two years ago and i still dont use that address for anything international. domestic is usually fine but once that address is flagged in the system it feels like youre just asking for a manual inspection. maybe i’m just paranoid tho lol.

7 months is a decent amount of time but honestly once u get a "love letter" from customs that address is basically burned for international stuff. if ur ordering domestic u might be okay but if it’s coming from overseas i wouldn't risk it. better to use a p.o. box or a buddies house if u can.

honestly i waited like a year after mine. it’s probably fine after 7 months but is it worth the stress of checking the tracking every 5 minutes? id just find a new drop address to be safe. customs doesnt forget as fast as we do unfortunately

i know guys who got a letter and then successfully landed a pack 2 months later at the same spot. it’s all a roll of the dice really. usps has so much volume they cant possibly track every single flagged address forever. but yeah if u can use a different spot i totally would.

7 months should be plenty for domestic orders. if it’s coming from overseas tho id be way more careful. did u ever get a follow up or just the one letter? if it was just the one and nothing else happened ur probably off the radar by now.

man i hate getting those letters lol. feels like the feds are gonna kick the door in any second even though nothing ever happens. i usually say 6 months is the minimum to wait but i’d still be nervous. maybe try a small "test" order of something legal first to see if it gets opened?
