Back before everyone was obsessed with GLP-1s, people used all kinds of different compounds to shred fat. Personally, I found that taking extended-release methylphenidate killed my appetite so much that I didn't even care about eating, which is actually why I ended up quitting it. Then you've got the classic stuff like the ECA stack with ephedrine, or meds like Adipex and Mysimba.
Since the GLP-1 drugs seem to cause a pretty fast tolerance and the price tag gets ridiculous real quick, shouldn't we be looking at these more "basic" stimulant options again? It feels like they might be a solid alternative for people who don't want to deal with the cost or the diminishing returns of the newer stuff.
yeah i feel you, old school stimulants definitely had their place before GLPs took over
honestly sometimes the cheap/simple stuff works just as well if you know how to use it safely
appetite suppression from stuff like methylphenidate is no joke, gotta be careful tho
the ECA stack was legendary back in the day, low cost and surprisingly effective
GLPs are nice but that tolerance and price can kill it fast, i get why you’d look back at basics
just gotta balance effectiveness with safety, stimulants aren’t risk-free either
