so a buddy of mine has like 50g of TE powder just chillin in a box in his closet for basically the last 5 years. the problem is it wasnt even in an airtight bag or anything it was pretty much just exposed to the air the whole time. im trying to figure out if its even worth the effort to try and save it or if we should send it off to get tested to see if its still legit. or honestly is it just garbage at this point and we should just toss it? i'd hate to waste it if there's still some life left in it but 5 years in a closet is a long time lol so let me know what you guys think thanks
honestly man 50g is a lot to just throw in the trash lol. raw powders are actually way more stable than people think even if they aren't sealed perfectly. if it hasn't turned a weird color or started smelling like old socks i'd bet it's still at least 80-90% potent. maybe just brew a small batch and see how it holds up?
five years in a non-airtight bag is definitely pushing it though. oxidation is the real enemy here not just the age. if your buddy really wants to be sure he should just send a gram to jano and get it tested - it's way cheaper to pay for a test than to toss hundreds of dollars worth of raws that might actually be fine.
i’ve used test cyp powder that was sitting in a drawer for like 3 years and it was totally fine so 5 years might not be the end of the world. as long as the closet didn't get super hot or humid it should be okay. just check for any clumping or yellowing before you do anything with it.
lol 50 grams is a lifetime supply of trt! i'd definitely try to save it. even if it lost a little bit of kick it's still probably better than most of the underdosed stuff floating around out there. just brew it at a slightly higher concentration if your worried about it being weak.
idk man... 5 years open to the air? i'd be a little sketched out about bacteria or just straight up dust and hair getting in there if the bag wasn't even sealed. test is cheap enough these days that it might not be worth the risk of an infection or a nasty abscess just to save a few bucks. be careful if you decide to use it!
5 years in an open bag is crazy lol. i mean test is pretty stable but being exposed to air and humidity that long... idk man. if u do try to use it just be ready for it to be way less potent than u think

lol your buddy just "forgot" he had 50g of test? thats wild. i mean if it was kept in the dark it might still be okay but being open to the air is the real killer. i wouldnt touch it personally but i’m a bit of a germaphobe with that stuff
man just throw it out. 50g is a lot but imagine the pip or an abscess from old oxidized powder... no thanks. if it wasn't sealed tight its definitely gathered some dust and moisture by now
i’d definitely send it for testing if u actually plan on brewing it. but honestly by the time u pay for the test and shipping u might as well have just bought a new bag. 5 years is a long time for anything to just sit in a closet lol
