im trying to find something that can actually help get my heart rate under control especially when I get nervous. I read somewhere that drinking tea is supposed to be amazing for this specifically green tea so i gave that a shot but honestly it just made me feel sick to my stomach lol so that's definitely a no go for me.

does anyone have a good supplement they'd recommend to help lower it and get things back down to where there supposed to be? id love to hear what actually works for u guys because i need to find something else since the tea thing was a total fail.

honestly man stay away from green tea if you're already nervous because the caffeine in it is just gonna make your heart race even more - no wonder it made you feel sick! id look into l-theanine instead. it is the stuff in tea that actually relaxes you but without the jitters and it works wonders for taking the edge off when you're stressed.

have you tried magnesium? i take it every night before bed and it totally chilled out my resting heart rate. if i’m feeling super anxious during the day i’ll grab some of those magnesium glycinate pills and it usually brings things back down to earth pretty quick. plus it helps with sleep which is a huge bonus.

i used to get that same sick feeling from green tea especially on an empty stomach - it’s the tannins that do it. if you want a supplement that actually works for heart rate try taurine. a lot of guys use it to help with pumps but it's actually really good for keeping your rhythm steady and calming the nervous system down.

look into ashwagandha if you haven't yet. it’s a total game changer for cortisol and stress levels. i started taking it a few months ago and i dont get those random "heart pounding" moments nearly as much as i used to. just make sure you get a high quality one like ksm-66 or it won't do much.

lol green tea has caffeine in it so that's probably why it made you feel worse! if you're already nervous the last thing you need is more stimulants. i'd try magnesium glycinate before bed or even during the day- it really helps chill out the physical jitters for me.

l-theanine is the way to go man. it's the stuff in tea that actually relaxes you but without the caffeine or the stomach issues. i take 200mg when i'm feeling stressed and it definitely smooths things out.

have you tried taurine? it’s super cheap and actually helps regulate heart rhythm and keep things calm. i take like 2-3 grams a day and my resting heart rate dropped a few beats.

honestly green tea on an empty stomach makes me nauseous every single time so i feel you there. maybe look into ashwagandha? just be careful because some people say it makes them feel a bit numb emotionally after a while.

if it's legit anxiety making your heart race you might want to ask a doc about propranolol. it’s not a supplement but it’s a beta blocker that specifically stops the physical "heart pounding" feeling without messing with your brain.

maybe try lemon balm or passionflower tea instead? they don't have the tannins that make you sick like green tea does. or just get them in capsule form if you're done with the whole tea experiment lol.

magnesium is a literal lifesaver for heart palpitations and fast heart rate. most people are deficient anyway. just make sure you get the "glycinate" version so you don't end up spending the whole day in the bathroom!

i used to get that nervous heart racing thing all the time. breathing exercises sounds like hippy stuff but doing 4-7-8 breathing actually works faster than any pill i've ever taken. give it a shot next time you feel it ramping up.

stay away from the green tea for sure if it makes you sick! i've been using kava lately for social anxiety and it’s been pretty solid for keeping the heart rate down when i have to do presentations and stuff.
