so i just picked up 3 vials of L-carnitine at 500mg/ml and did my first 500mg shot today in the ventroglute right before hitting legs. it didnt really sting or anything when the needle went in but man now i definitely got some decent pip going on. is this just a normal thing for this stuff? i usually never get any pip with my oil based gear so im wondering if the concentration is just way too high or maybe my body just hates water based compounds i dont know.

i tried searching around but couldnt really find a straight answer so i figured id start a thread. if this was an oil id just mix it with something else to dilute the concentration but L-carnitine is the only water based thing i pin so im kinda stuck. has anyone else dealt with this or did i just get some bunk stuff that bites back

man welcome to the world of injectable l-carnitine lol that pip is 100% normal especially at 500mg/ml because that concentration is thick as hell for a water based shot. oil usually sits there and slowly dissipates but water based stuff hits the muscle tissue way more aggressively and carnitine specifically is famous for that deep "charley horse" feeling a few hours later. if you hit legs right after that's probably why it’s biting back so hard—working the muscle right after a high concentration water shot is a recipe for a massive knot.

on a bulk i do bump things a bit but more because recovery and food are up, not because there’s some special switch that happens at 500mg. honestly the biggest difference in how i look and perform between phases has always been calories and training, not trying to perfectly time test changes.

500mg/ml l carnitine is definitely getting into “yeah this might feel rude” territory lol. that concentration alone can absolutely be the reason, especially if it’s your first time and your body’s just like bro what is this. water based stuff can hit way differently than oils too, sometimes more stingy even if the injection itself felt easy.

a lotta people find it way more manageable splitting the dose cause blasting a full ml of concentrated carnitine can feel rude as hell even when everything’s legit. sometimes it’s not fake, it’s just disrespectful.

500mg/ml is pretty damn concentrated too so honestly some pip wouldn’t shock me at all, especially first shot while your body’s basically like “what the hell is this.” a lot of guys seem to tolerate smaller volumes way better so it might just be concentration plus virgin muscle drama more than bunk.

some people tolerate it fine and barely feel anything, others get that deep ache for a day or two no matter where they inject. doesn’t really sound like bunk gear, more just how that compound hits certain people. usually it gets a bit more manageable once your body adjusts, but it doesn’t fully feel like oil based injections ever do.

500mg ml carnitine can kick like a pissed off mule lol especially first few shots. mine had me walking like i lost a fight with leg day too. a lotta that stuff is just brutal from concentration and water based sting not necessarily bunk. usually got better once my body adjusted but yeah some brands are straight up meaner than others.

500mg ml carnitine can be spicy as hell honestly especially first few shots. that stuff is notorious for random crippling pip even when the gear itself is fine just because the concentration and solvents can be rough. a lot of guys split the dose smaller or warm it up first because slamming a full ml can feel like your glute got punched tomorrow. definitely doesnt automatically mean bunk.

yeah man that pip with carnitine is super common especially at 500mg/ml, that stuff is notorious for it. feels fine going in then a few hours later it’s like you got kicked in the ass lol. i had way less issues when i split the dose into smaller shots and rotated spots more, like doing 250 at a time instead of dumping the whole thing in one place. also warming it up a bit and going slow helped a little but it never fully goes away

what helped me a bit was splitting the dose into smaller shots and rotating sites more, and going really slow on the push. still got some pip now and then but way more manageable. doesn’t really sound like bunk to me, more like just typical carnitine behavior

what helped me a bit was splitting it into smaller shots and rotating sites more, and going slower on the injection. still some pip here and there but nowhere near as annoying. doesn’t really sound bunk, just kind of the standard carnitine experience for a lot of people
