I’m pretty new to all of this, but I’ve got a few friends who’ve been using for years and they’ve been giving me some guidance along the way. The thing is, they mostly just say Anavar isn’t really worth it, but they don’t actually help me figure out what I should run for a second cycle.
So I’ve been doing my own reading and thinking about it, and I’m leaning towards just running Anavar with around 300-400mg of Test. I’ve seen a lot of hype around Anavar so it caught my attention.
For my second cycle I was thinking something like 300-400mg Test and adding in Anavar at 12.5mg twice a day (25mg total daily). Would that be a solid second cycle setup, or am I missing something better I should be considering instead?
Honestly man 25mg of var is pretty weak if you really want to notice a difference. People hype it up because it keeps you dry but honestly for the price it is not worth it for a second cycle. Just run 400mg of test and focus on your training and food. You will get way more out of just upping the test than adding a tiny bit of var. Keep it simple and save your cash for real food.
on 300–400 test you’re already in a solid range for growth, and adding var will mainly just tighten things up and maybe give you a bit of strength and that harder look. it’s not usually the dramatic mass builder people expect from the hype
honestly if your first cycle was good, repeating test again clean and trying to improve your setup might actually give you more than adding extras too early. var is more of a finishing touch than a foundation builder
i ran almost that exact setup for my second cycle and it was decent but not life changing tbh. the test did most of the heavy lifting and the var just kinda made things look a bit tighter and gave a small strength bump nothing crazy
on 300-400 test most of your real progress is still coming from food training and recovery and the var at that dose is more like a “finishing touch” where you might look a bit harder and get a small strength bump but it’s not like a whole extra level of growth
anavar is one of those compounds everyone either calls overrated or swears changed their life lol. for me it was mostly insane pumps strength went crazy and i looked way leaner even eating like trash sometimes. honestly sounds like a pretty chill second cycle to me
12.5mg twice a day is the perfect way to do it to keep it stable in your system. you’ll actually keep most of the gains from this too unlike the heavy wet compounds. ignore the noise and stick with the plan var is iconic for a reason.
