Make sure you don't overheat the oil when you're melting the raws because you can actually scorched the gear if you're not careful. Also, do yourself a huge favor and get a high-quality bottle top filter instead of trying to use those tiny syringe filters, otherwise your forearms will be on fire before you even finish 50ml. It's a bit nerve-wracking the first time you see it turn into a finished product, but once you get the hang of it, you'll never want to buy pre-made vials again.
