hey guys i got a question so im 41 and ive been on trt since january. i just decided to kick things up a notch and bumped my dose from 125mg to 400mg of test cyp for a 10 week blast- should be finishing that up around the end of october.

the thing is i need my levels back down to normal trt range before i go see my doctor for bloodwork at the end of november. i really dont want him seeing huge numbers and asking questions lol so what do you guys think is the best way to handle this? should i just stop taking everything for a bit to let it clear out or should i try to taper it down slowly? just trying to make sure i dont screw up my labs in november thanks for any advice you can give me

Honestly man 4 weeks might be cutting it close depending on how fast you clear it. Test Cyp has a pretty long half life so if you pin all the way till the end of october you might still be showing high in late november. i'd probably stop the blast a week earlier just to be safe so your doc doesnt freak out and pull your script.

definitely dont stop completely! you'll feel like absolute garbage if you just go cold turkey. just drop back to your 125mg trt dose immediately after the blast ends. 4 weeks is usually enough time for the extra test to clear out of your system but its gonna be tight.

lol been there man. doctors can be so picky about those numbers. whatever you do dont "taper" - just go straight back to your cruise dose. if you taper you're just keeping the levels elevated for longer which is the opposite of what you want for those labs.

400mg is a solid blast for a first time. you should see some good gains. for the bloodwork just make sure you get your timing right. id try to stay off the 400 for a full month before the needle hits your arm for the test. better to have slightly lower numbers than to show up with 3000 total test and have to explain that to a clinic haha.

i'd just drop back to your 125mg right away. maybe even go slightly lower like 100mg for those 4 weeks just to make sure you land in the sweet spot for the doc. also keep an eye on your hematocrit and rbc... those are the things that usually give away a blast even if your test levels look "normal" again.
