so from what i understand the big issue with trestolone (ment) is all the estrogen related sides people run into. since it doesn’t actually convert to regular e2 it gets kinda hard to tell what’s really going on hormonally
what I’m trying to figure out is how the methylated estrogen from it actually behaves compared to normal estradiol. like if I’m already controlling or even kinda crushing e2 with something like primo or eq would the estrogen from ment still be enough to cover the stuff we usually don’t want to lose when e2 gets too low
just trying to wrap my head around whether it can actually replace that balance or if it’s a totally different thing that doesn’t really function the same way at all
i’ve seen guys try to crush e2 thinking ment will carry it and they end up feeling weird anyway, like libido off, joints dry, mood kinda flat but still dealing with estrogenic sides at the same time which makes no sense on paper lol.
man, ment is a total mind trip because that 7-alpha-methyl-estradiol it converts into is way more potent than the stuff your body normally makes. the weirdest part is that your bloodwork won't even show it correctly because standard labs are looking for regular e2, so you could be walking around with "crushed" levels on paper while your nipples are literally screaming at you lol.
he big catch is that since it doesn't show up on a standard e2 test you're basically flying blind. you could have "crushed" estrogen on your labs but still be getting gyno symptoms or massive water retention because that 7-alpha-methyl-estradiol is doing its own thing in the background. it’s a great replacement for the healthy stuff we lose when e2 gets low but it is a super thin line to walk because it can turn you into a bloated mess overnight if you aren't careful. honestly if you're gonna try it as a balance just start with like 5mg or 10mg a day because a little bit of ment goes a massively long way!
basically i wouldnt trust “ment estrogen will cover me” the same way i wouldnt trust “my check engine light is off so the engine must be perfect.” maybe parts overlap maybe parts dont but trying to crush regular e2 hard and just hope ment handles the rest sounds like prime FAFO territory.
man thats the million dollar question. the thing is the estrogen metabolite from ment is potent as hell but it definitely does not act exactly like standard e2. trying to use it to buffer low e2 sides is super risky because you have no way to track where you are actually at with bloodwork. i would not bank on it saving your joints or mood if you crush your base e2 with primo or eq. they are totally different animals and the ment estrogen can get out of control way faster than you think. just dont assume it is a straight swap for normal e2 because you will probably just end up feeling like crap.
