I'm looking to get some blood work done to verify that the HGH I’ve got is actually real, but I need some help with the timing. Does anyone know the best window to get my blood drawn after pinning? Also, do I need to be fasted for the test to be accurate, or are there any other specific protocols I should follow to make sure I’m seeing the peak levels?
Would you like me to look up the typical peak times for different types of HGH injections so you can time your lab appointment perfectly?
most guys usually do a serum test about 3 hours after pinning IM but if your doing subq it might be closer to 4 or 5 hours to hit the peak. just make sure your consistent so you can compare it later if you switch brands
you definitely want to be fasted for this one- i made the mistake of eating a huge carb meal before my last pull and it totally blunted my gh levels. keep it fasted and just drink some water before you go in
i always shoot for the 3 hour mark on the dot after an IM pin. it's the gold standard for checking if your stuffs legit or just bunk. let us know what the numbers come back as!!
honestly gh testing can be a bit tricky because the levels spike and drop so fast so just try to get to the lab as soon as possible after that 3 hour window hits. also dont do any crazy cardio right before cuz that can mess with the results too
if your testing igf-1 instead of just gh serum then timing doesnt matter as much but for a straight gh test you gotta time it perfectly. 3 to 4 hours is the sweet spot for most people i know.
just a heads up- some labs are super picky about fasting so i'd just play it safe and dont eat anything for like 8 hours before. better to be safe than waste money on a test that isnt accurate ya know?
if you’re trying to see if the kit is legit, you definitely want to go for a serum GH test, not just IGF-1. most guys do the "gh protocol" where they pin about 10iu and then get their blood drawn exactly 3 hours later. if it’s real, your numbers should be off the charts compared to the normal range. good luck man, hope it’s not bunk!
timing is everything with gh. if you miss that 3-hour window your levels might already be dropping back down and you'll just get a confusing result. and yeah, definitely fast!! even a little bit of sugar or a heavy meal can spike your insulin and mess with the gh levels in your blood. just stick to water until after the needle is out of your arm.
honestly some people swear by a 4-hour window, but 3 seems to be the gold standard for "peak" serum levels. if you want the most accurate results, try to stay as relaxed as possible before the draw- stress and even a light workout can cause your own body to dump some growth hormone, which might give you a false positive on a low-quality kit
definitely fast for at least 8 hours before. also, watch out for biotin in any multivitamins you’re taking- apparently that can interfere with the lab assays for some hormones and give you a weird reading. i usually skip my vitamins for 2 days before a blood draw just to be safe. let us know what the numbers look like!!
i’ve done this a few times to test different sources. what i do is pin intramuscular (IM) instead of subcutaneous (sub-q) for the test because it hits the bloodstream a bit faster and more consistently. usually 3 hours on the dot is when it peaks. if you see anything over 20 ng/mL on a 10iu dose you’re probably in the clear!
