I'm looking for some advice on what to run during the offseason to build up some strength. For context, I’m an endurance cyclist and I’m already on TRT. I’ve messed around with Anavar in the past, and while I liked the results, the pumps were actually a nightmare - they basically killed my ability to keep up a solid cardio base.

Are there any specific compounds you guys would recommend that help speed up strength gains without trashing my cardio? I still need to be able to get those miles in without my legs locking up on me.

man those anavar pumps are the absolute worst for cycling. i tried to go for a light 20 miler on 40mg and my calves felt like they were literally gonna explode lol. definitely stay away from the orals if you want to keep your cardio.

have u looked into EQ (boldenone)? its basically the gold standard for endurance guys because it bumps up your red blood cell count. you get the strength gains and you wont gas out as fast on the climbs.

honestly if you're already on trt just try bumping your test up slightly or add in some Primo. primo is super clean and i never get those painful pumps like i do on var or dbol.

tbol (turinabol) is usually better for pumps than anavar is but its still an oral so ymmv. for a cyclist i'd honestly stick to the injectables so your liver isnt working overtime while youre training.

maybe look into cardarine (gw-501516)? its not a steroid but man the endurance boost is insane. i combined it with my trt and felt like i had a third lung on the bike.

u ever try masteron? its great for strength without the water weight. only downside is it can make your joints a bit dry if your e2 is low, but for pure strength-to-weight it’s solid.

watch out for the weight gain too... if u get too "strong" and put on 10lbs of water/muscle your power-to-weight ratio is gonna tank. eq is nice because it keeps u pretty lean and dry.

definitely second the EQ suggestion. just be ready for the hunger- it makes some people want to eat everything in the fridge which might be a struggle if ur trying to stay at racing weight.

lol i remember trying to ride on dbol once... lasted about 2 miles before the back pumps forced me to lay down on the sidewalk. stick to the slow esters man.

low dose deca (like 100-150mg) might be good too just for the joint support. cycling is low impact but the volume adds up and deca makes everything feel like it's "greased" up.

If you’re a cyclist you definitely want to stay away from the oral stuff like Anavar or Dbol because those back pumps and calf pumps will ruin a ride in 10 minutes. Honestly, EQ (Boldenone) is the classic endurance choice since it actually bumps up your red blood cell count - just be careful your blood doesn't get too thick. It’s way better for the long miles than anything else I’ve tried.

Have you looked into Primo? It’s super mild and shouldn't give you those crazy painful pumps that Var does. It’s more of a slow steady strength gain but you won't feel like your legs are made of lead halfway through a climb. Plus it’s pretty dry so you aren't carrying around a bunch of extra water weight which helps on the bike.

Maybe try a low dose of Masteron with your TRT? It’s great for strength and "hardness" without the water retention or the insane pumps. I know a few guys who do triathlons and they swear by it because it doesn't mess with their breathing or give them those "oxygen debt" feelings as fast as other gear.

If the Var pumps were the only issue, you could try adding taurine to your daily supplements- like 3-5g usually helps a ton with the cramping. But if you want a different compound altogether, Tbol might be worth a look. It’s like the "athlete's" version of Dbol, way less bloat and the pumps are usually more manageable for cardio.
