I'm looking for some advice on my current run. I'm 185cm and sitting at 85.3kg right now. I've been on 500mg of Test solo since early December - so about 16 weeks in total. I started out at 73.5kg, which means I've put on nearly 12kg in four months, which I was pretty happy with.
The problem is that for the last two or three weeks, the scale just stopped moving. I’m stuck fluctuating in this tiny 0.5kg range even though I'm still eating like a absolute machine. My bloodwork was spot on around week 12 and I'm using the same gear, so I don't think it's bunk - especially since my strength and libido are still great.
One weird thing I've noticed is my weight fluctuations during the day. I used to swing 2 or 3kg easily, but now, even if I smash 4k+ calories and tons of water, the scale barely budges 500-700g. It's super strange. On the plus side, the mirror says I'm still improving - I look leaner around the waist and my muscles look more developed than they did a few weeks ago.
I've only got 8 weeks left before I drop down to a TRT dose for the summer. What would you guys do if you were me? Also, do you think this plateau means I'll need to add more compounds next time? Now that I've gotten bigger, I'm worried 500mg of Test just isn't going to cut it anymore.

i wouldn’t immediately think “need more compounds next time” off a plateau like this. a lot of guys just end up chasing higher and higher doses when really it’s diet precision and time that changes here, not a new drug. 500mg still works, it’s just not gonna feel like month 1 anymore when everything was ultra responsive.
since you only have 8 weeks left i wouldnt go crazy adding a bunch of new stuff now but you might need to just eat even more than you think is possible to get that scale moving again. and dont worry about the 500mg not being enough for next time because its clearly still working if your strength is solid and your look is improving. sometimes the scale is just a liar and if you look better in the mirror that is what actually matters. just finish out these 8 weeks strong and dont overthink it too much man your killing it.
if strength libido mirror and bloods are still good i honestly wouldn’t panic just because scale momentum chilled out. sometimes the “nothing is happening” phase is really just recomposition or your body settling a bit. jumping straight to “guess i need more drugs next time” is exactly how people start escalating before they’ve even milked the obvious stuff like food training and patience.
if mirror strength libido and bloods are still solid then i’d be real careful not to let scale obsession trick you into thinking nothing’s happening. sometimes once the easy water/glycogen madness settles you’re actually seeing more legit tissue progress even if the scale chills out. more compounds next time might just mean more side effects, not automatically more magic.
if strength is up, bloods are good, libido’s fine, and the mirror says better... i probably wouldn’t instantly jump to “500 test is obsolete and i need more drugs.” sounds more like you actually hit a normal slowing point instead of some catastrophic plateau. sometimes chasing scale weight harder is exactly how dudes just get fatter.
