so i can actually get ozempic prescribed through the VA for my diabetes and honestly im thinking about it. im mid-cut right now and have gone from 253 down to 240 but man its taken like 4 months and the hunger is just getting way too intense especially with the diabetes making everything harder. i feel like my willpower is starting to hit a wall.

im a bit worried that itll make eating so hard that i cant hit my numbers. has anyone else dealt with that by just drinking their macros like protein shakes and stuff just to make sure they get enough? i guess i could just give it a shot and see what happens. if it doesnt work for me im sure my wife wouldnt mind taking it off my hands lol. plus the shits free from the VA so its not like im losing money if it doesnt work out

Yeah a lot of people end up drinking calories on it - protein shakes, smoothies, even milk. Way easier than forcing down solid food when nothing sounds good.

If it’s free and for diabetes I’d at least try it. You can always adjust calories with shakes if solid food gets tough. That hunger relief is a game changer.

dropping 13 lbs in 4 months while diabetic isn’t bad at all. Ozempic might just take the edge off that constant hunger so you don’t feel like you’re fighting yourself all day.

If the VA’s covering it I’d 100% test it out. Worst case you stop, best case you finally get some peace from the hunger monster

yep I went the VA route too and honestly shakes helped a ton… appetite got nuked but if you sip protein and calorie drinks it’s way easier to hit your numbers. still a struggle some days but way better than starving and getting frustrated 😅

Yeah man, I’ve been on Ozempic through my doc too and the hunger crash is real at first. I ended up living off protein shakes and small easy meals just to hit my numbers without feeling like I was forcing food down. Takes a bit to adjust, but once your body gets used to it, it’s actually kinda nice not constantly thinking about food.

As for the eating part, yeah, hitting your protein is going to be a struggle at first. You’ll sit down to a chicken breast and feel like you just ate a whole Thanksgiving turkey after two bites. Drinking your macros is definitely the way to go—high-quality whey and some greens powder will be your best friends. Just don't go too crazy with the shakes right away or you might get some "Ozempic burps" that’ll make you regret being alive.
