exactly two years ago today i got diagnosed with type 1 and i was only like 120 pounds back then. today im sitting at 200 lbs and just going all in on my passion for lifting! i wanted to share this because it is 100% possible to pack on muscle with this condition and honestly i havent really felt like being a t1 diabetic has held me back much at all in the gym.

you obviously gotta stay on top of your blood sugar but what i really want to get across is that diabetes isnt gonna stop you from getting big if thats what you want. its actually been a huge help for my management too-like if i skip the gym for a few days my sugars just go totally haywire. if you guys havent tried lifting yet you really should give it a go because it helps my control so much and there is something really cool about fighting a disease like this while still staying in great shape. hope everyone’s having a good one and just keep grinding!!!

this is so motivating—definitely shows that diabetes doesn’t have to hold you back. your grind is paying off big time

this is super inspiring honestly! love seeing someone turn a diagnosis into motivation instead of letting it hold them back 💪

I’ve heard lifting really helps with blood sugar too, but it’s awesome to hear it from someone actually doing it consistently
