so im planning to run like 150 to 175mg test e per week long term basically thinking years like maybe till im around 26 then I wanna try for kids
just wondering what kind of hcg dose people would actually use alongside that kind of trt setup to keep things in a good place fertility wise
also worth mentioning im on dutasteride 0.5mg daily as well so not sure if that changes anything or not
anyone here running something similar long term or got any real world input on what actually works for keeping everything functioning while staying on trt for years
honestly if kids are a real goal I wouldn’t just assume low dose hcg the whole time guarantees anything because plenty of guys still end up needing hmg or full fertility protocols later anyway. a lot of people do 250 to 500iu a couple times a week just to keep the boys awake but semen analysis every now and then probably tells you way more than guessing. years on test is kinda rolling the dice no matter how clean the setup looks on paper.
been there man and honestly hcg can help keep things looking and feeling more normal but I would not treat it like some fertility insurance policy for years straight. plenty dudes cruise with 250iu 2 or 3x a week and do okay, but when baby time actually comes a semen test is what matters not ball size or load volume. way too many people assume they’re good until they actually try.
only thing id watch is running it nonstop for years might desensitize things a bit, some dudes cycle it instead and say it works better. also dutasteride on top is kinda a wild combo long term, not saying its bad but id definitely keep an eye on how everything feels downstairs lol
the big thing though is fertility isn’t something hcg alone guarantees, it’s more like it helps maintain function while you’re on, but when it comes time to actually try for kids a lot of people still need a proper restart or additional meds under a doc
the bigger thing i’d keep in mind is long term fertility isn’t just about hcg, it’s more like it helps maintain function while you’re on, but when it comes time to actually try, a lot of people still need a proper restart plan under medical guidance
a lot of guys stay on TRT for years and still end up having kids later so i wouldnt automatically assume you’re cooked or anything. i think planning ahead now instead of waiting till the last second already puts you way ahead of most people honestly
ong term low dose TRT like that is pretty common now, i think the bigger thing is just keeping an eye on how you feel over the years not just fertility stuff
dut might affect how things feel a bit overall but i don’t think it changes the fertility side as much as people worry about
since you're on dutasteride, the main thing to watch out for is your libido and mental state. dutasteride is way more potent than finasteride at nuking DHT, and HCG can sometimes spike your estrogen. if your E2 gets too high while your DHT is super low from the dutas, you might run into some mood issues or "soft" libido.
i know a couple guys that stayed on low dose hcg the whole time they cruised and had kids without even coming fully off so it definitely seems possible. biggest thing i kept hearing was don’t wait until the last second to think about fertility because getting everything working again can take way longer than people expect
