hey guys i been lurking here for a few months just trying to get my head around what to expect for my first cycle and one thing that keeps coming up is how much the sleep quality sucks. i already struggle with sleep as it is and i was even on zolpiclone for a bit because its always been an issue for me.

ive seen people say that z-drugs actually mess with your sleep quality anyway and you build a tolerance super fast so i dont really want to go down that road again. was wondering if you guys have any tips or stuff that worked for you to actually get some rest while on?

mostly i just cant fall asleep to save my life once i actually get in bed staying asleep isnt usually the problem for me. thanks

This is a staple for a lot of guys. It helps relax the muscles and doesn't leave you feeling like a zombie the next morning.

welcome out of the shadows haha. if its just falling asleep thats the issue maybe try a ritual? like no screens 30 mins before bed. sounds boring but it actually helps your brain shut down when the gear has u wired.

honestly man same. the insomnia is real. i found that magnesium glycinate right before bed helps a bit with the restlessness but it isn't a magic fix. definitely avoid the z-drugs if u can bc that dependency is no joke.

i used to take zolpidem too and yeah- the rebound insomnia is worse than the actual problem. try some cbd or even just some taurine before bed. helps me stop the racing thoughts once i hit the pillow.

low dose melatonin (like 1mg-3mg max) helped me. also keep the room freezing cold. like uncomfortably cold lol. it helps drop your core temp which is usually higher when youre on.

man if you already struggle with sleep then staying away from stuff like tren is a must- that'll have you staring at the ceiling until 4am. for falling asleep i’ve found that 600mg of magnesium glycinate and some taurine about an hour before bed helps relax the central nervous system. way better than waking up groggy from z-drugs

honestly the "test insomnia" is real even on a first cycle. one thing that works for me is making sure i don't train too late in the evening because my heart rate stays elevated for hours. if you're already a night owl it’s just gonna make it 10x worse. try some l-theanine too, it helps kill the racing thoughts

i used to be on ambien and it ruined my sleep quality even though i was "out." now i just use a low dose of melatonin (like 1mg max) and some valerian root. also keep your room freezing cold because peds will make you run way hotter at night which definitely doesn't help with falling asleep

since staying asleep isn't the issue you just need to win the "falling asleep" phase lol. have you tried any blue light blockers or just staying off your phone an hour before bed? sounds basic but when your hormones are pinned your brain is already over-stimulated. good luck man the struggle is real

i’d skip the heavy sleep meds and try some ashwagandha ksm-66 to keep the cortisol down. usually it's the high cortisol from the gear that keeps you wired at night. just be careful not to overdo the stims/pre-workout during the day or you'll never stand a chance
