gday guys first time posting here so hope im doing this right lol
so i recently grabbed some nad from a new supplier everyone on the forums is hyping up right now. they got legit coas and everything i've tried from them so far has been fire but i hit something weird with this nad that i cant figure out. basically i reconstituted the 500mg vial with exactly 3ml of bac water and when i drew it back out i got 5 x 60iu and then a final 54iu on top of that. normally when i do this with other brands i just get the 3ml back (5 x 60iu) and thats it?
it’s like the powder is actually displacing the volume of the water or something but it’s mixing crystal clear with no foam or anything weird looking. we even triple checked the syringes to make sure we werent crazy but the math just keeps coming up extra... has anyone else dealt with this before? just trying to make sense of why i’m getting more volume back than what i put in lol-
it's actually totally normal man. the powder itself has volume so when it dissolves into the water it "adds" to the total liquid. usually for 500mg it's not a huge jump but if the filler is bulky you'll definitely see that extra 5 or 10 units on the plunger. nothing to worry about!
lol i remember the first time this happened to me i thought i was tripping. its just displacement. think of it like putting a big rock in a bucket of water - the level goes up. same thing here but on a tiny scale with the nad powder. you still got the same 500mg just spread over a tiny bit more liquid.
hey welcome to the sub! yeah that happens all the time with certain peps and nad. basically the "3ml" becomes like 3.1 or 3.2 total after the powder dissolves. just divide your total mg by the new total volume if u want to be super precise with the mcg per unit but honestly it wont make a massive difference.
sounds like you got a solid supplier if the powder is that "dense" lol. i usually just round my doses a bit to make it even when that happens. as long as its clear and not cloudy ur good to go. the math is always a little wonky once the powder melts in.
dude i had the same thing happen with some hgh recently. drove me nuts trying to calculate the clicks on my pen. its just displacement though - basically the solids taking up space. as long as it mixed clean i wouldn't sweat it too much. better to have a bit extra than be shorted!
lol dont stress man that’s just displacement. any time you add a solid powder to a liquid the volume is gonna go up a bit. think of it like putting rocks in a glass of water- the water level rises right? it actually sounds like that source is hooking you up with a decent amount of actual raw powder if it’s displacing that much.
haha i did the exact same thing when i first started. i was staring at the syringe like wait... did i just create water out of thin air?? but yeah its totally normal especially with higher mg vials. 500mg of powder takes up space. as long as its clear and not cloudy your good to go.
honestly if youre getting more back it usually means the vials are overfilled a bit or the puck of powder is just really dense. id much rather have a little extra than be shorted 10 units lol. sounds like that new supplier is legit if the quality has been fire so far.
just keep your math the same for the dosing. even if the total volume is like 3.1 or 3.2ml now the actual amount of NAD in there is still 500mg. so if u want a specific dose just calculate it based on the 3ml you put in and dont worry about the tiny bit of "bonus" liquid at the end.
yeah thats just displacement bro. happens with pretty much any peptide or compound if the dose is high enough. the fact that it’s mixing crystal clear is the main thing you wanna look for so sounds like you got some good stuff there- enjoy the energy boost!
