Does anyone here hit the gym late at night and still use a pre-workout AAS? I'm trying to figure out which compounds actually have the smallest impact on sleep.

My guess is that pretty much anything you take is going to mess with your rest since most pre-workout stuff is all about heavy CNS stimulation, but I wanted to see if anyone has found an exception. Have you guys found anything that gives you a good kick for a late session without keeping you wide awake until 3:00 AM?

honestly late night pre is always playing sleep roulette for me. even when i swear “this one barely hits” somehow im still laying in bed at 2am mentally reorganizing my entire life lol. best luck i’ve had was skipping the hardcore stim stuff and just doing pump ingredients or maybe a tiny bit of caffeine max, because once you nuke your sleep the workout boost kinda stops being worth it anyway.

yeah late night training and anything even remotely “pre workout” style AAS usually turns into a sleep tax in my experience. even stuff people call mild still seems to mess with that wind down window, not in a stim way always but more like body just wont fully downshift. honestly the only real “solution” i found was timing everything way earlier in the day or accepting that sleep quality drops a bit on those late sessions. if you gotta train late, keeping compounds consistent and not stacking extra fast acting stuff near that window seems to help more than trying to find some perfect exception that doesnt touch sleep at all.

the only real way guys seem to make it work long term is either lowering the intensity of that late session or giving themselves a bigger wind down gap before bed. there isn’t really a magic compound that gives a clean boost and zero sleep impact, it’s more about how close to bed everything happens and how hyped your CNS gets from the session itself
