I get that the bulk of the weight loss from stuff like Reta is just because the GLP-1 side kills your appetite, just like with Sema and Tirz. But the actual "fat burning" part—I mean the real lipolysis—is coming from the Glucagon (GCGR) and the improved insulin sensitivity from the GIP.
So it makes me wonder, why aren't there any dual GIP and GCGR agonists hitting the market?
It seems like it would be the perfect fat burner for guys like us since we could probably run it long-term with way fewer side effects than something harsh like Clen. It would basically be like getting the fat-burning benefits of HGH. Is the issue just that pharma companies don't think it would cause enough weight loss for the general obese population? Or am I totally missing something obvious here about how these work?
i think the catch is glucagon isn’t just “fat burning”, it can jack up glucose pretty hard if it’s not balanced right. like yeah it ramps up energy output but it’s also telling your liver to dump sugar, so without that GLP1 brake it could get messy real quick.
that’s probably why everything that actually made it far like reta still leans on GLP1 to keep appetite and glucose in check. take that away and now you’ve got something that might burn fat but also makes people feel like garbage or messes with glycemic control
plus most normal people aren’t trying to micromanage food intake like we do. if a drug doesn’t crush appetite it already loses like 80 percent of its effectiveness for the general market
the problem with glucagon by itself is that it can be a total nightmare for blood sugar and heart rate if it isnt balanced out perfectly which is probably why they are scared to release it without the glp-1 "safety net" to keep things stable. it basically is like a cleaner version of hgh or clen without the shakes and the crazy heart palpitations but pharma doesn't care about our "recomposition" goals lol. they want the easiest path to fda approval and that means showing massive weight loss numbers for the general public not helping us stay lean on a bulk. hopefully some underground lab figures it out soon though because a "hunger-friendly" fat burner would be an absolute game changer!

maybe the issue is balancing gcgr without people ending up feeling wired, sweaty, or constantly hungry from blood sugar weirdness idk
