so im on 30mg of healing pharma accufine right now and kinda curious if anyone else has run into this. the capsules smell pretty damn fishy like straight up stink lol but they look totally fine no weird color or anything and the manufacture date says 11/25 so it sat through winter and i got it around march 26
not sure if that smell means anything or if its just how it is but also feels like my acne is going through that purge phase right now so maybe its actually working just throwing it out there if anyone else had the same thing happen
lmfao man the accutane smell is actually the worst but honestly its totally normal for a lot of those generic brands like healing pharma. i had a batch of accufine before that smelled like a wet fish market every time i opened the bottle and i was tripping out thinking it was rancid or something but it worked exactly like it was supposed to. if youre going through that purge phase right now where your skin is exploding then that is a massive sign the stuff is legit so i wouldnt even stress the smell too much.
lol yeah that fishy smell is pretty normal with those, a lot of isotretinoin caps have that kinda odor from the oils inside. i’ve had a couple brands that straight up smelled like a bait shop but worked fine.
as long as the caps aren’t leaking or super soft you’re probably fine, just gotta ride out that ugly phase a bit 😅
mine smelled like straight up dead fish too lol freaked me out at first but it ended up working just fine. pretty sure some of those caps just reek for no reason, the purge hit me hard early on too then finally started calming down after a few weeks
the purge timing you’re describing also lines up pretty well, usually around that dose people start seeing things flare up before it settles down, which is annoying but pretty standard
