curious what people think about winstrol-i actually remember seeing some podcast with chris distefano where he was talking about using it back in highschool and saying it made him a total beast. like he could jump way higher and his speed was just on another level compared to being natty. i know i heard stories about olympic sprinters getting caught with it too so there's definitely something there for performance right. anyone here actually run it? just wondering from a bodybuilding side if the look and feel is basically the same as anavar. i done var before and it definitely made me stronger and kept the muscles looking full even when i was pretty lean but is winstrol just more of the same or do you notice different side effects or whatever?
winstrol is definitely a different beast than var man. where anavar makes you look full and pumped winny makes you look "hard" and dry as a bone. it’s great for the mirror but your joints might pay for it- i felt like a 90 year old man with creaky knees after like three weeks on it. definitely get some fish oil if you try it lol
honestly if you liked the var feel you might be disappointed with the winstrol sides. it’s awesome for strength and that grainy look but it’s notorious for making people feel "flat" and achy. that podcast story makes sense though because the power output on winny is insane- just gotta be careful you don't snap a tendon because your muscles get stronger way faster than your joints can handle.
winny is like the "dry" version of anavar. i ran it for a photoshoot once and looked incredible but man i felt like shit. var is way more "user friendly" for everyday life. if you're just looking for performance and don't care about your joints feeling like sandpaper then go for it but otherwise var is probably better for a long term thing.
yo i remember that distefano clip lol. winstrol is definitely the classic "sprinter" gear for a reason the explosiveness is real. just a heads up though it can be way harsher on your hair and your lipids than anavar is. i lost a bit of thickness on my crown last time i touched the stuff so keep an eye on that if you care about your hairline.
man i hated winstrol lol. yeah i looked shredded but my elbows hurt so bad i could barely bench. anavar is way more chill and gives that nice "pop" to the muscles. winny is more for when you're already lean and just want to look like you're made of granite for a few weeks. its a cool tool but definitely has more "bite" than var.
Winstrol felt way “drier” than var for me - strength went up but my joints were NOT happy great for that hard look though, just not something I’d run long.
Var kept me looking full, winny made me look peeled but kinda flat at the same time if carbs weren’t high. Totally different vibe imo 💪
Performance wise yeah I can see why sprinters liked it - felt explosive in the gym. But man the pumps and joint stiffness got rough after a few weeks.
Not really more of the same as anavar tbh. Var = smooth strength + fullness. Winstrol = dry, hard, vascular but harsher overall.
I looked insane on it visually, like grainy and sharp, but I also felt like an old man walking down stairs awesome for photos, not always awesome for daily life.
