i got a question for anyone running like 180mg to 200mg of test cyp a week and doing daily pins. basically i need to know how long its gonna take for my body to actually adapt to the outside testosterone so im good to go for a surgery. i dont want to walk into the hospital and have things be all messed up because im still adjusting to the levels. if anyone has some knowledge on the timeline for when things settle down so im in the clear i would really appreciate it cause i dont want to mess anything up before i go under the knife- let me know what you guys think or if youve been through something similar with your own procedures and trt because i am just trying to be safe here thanks
just a heads up though you definitely need to be 100% honest with the anesthesiologist about exactly what you're taking and your dose. they dont care about the gear from a moral standpoint they just need to know so they can keep you under safely because hormones can sometimes mess with how you wake up or how your heart handles the stress. if your red blood cell count is within range and you've been on that dose for at least a month or two you should be totally fine to go under. good luck with the procedure bro just stay hydrated and keep those daily pins consistent so you don't have any wild fluctuations right before the big day!
just make sure you are 100% upfront with the anesthesiologist about what you are running. they don't care about the gear from a moral standpoint they just need to know so they can manage your heart rate and how you wake up properly. if you've been on that dose for a couple months and your bloodwork looks clean you should be totally fine to go under. good luck with the procedure man just stay consistent and don't change anything right before the big day!
man if youre doing daily pins of test cyp it usually takes about 4 to 6 weeks for your blood levels to fully stabilize and reach a "steady state" since the ester has such a long half life. but honestly the biggest thing for surgery is your red blood cell count and hematocrit because test can make your blood get thick like sludge if you aren't careful and surgeons hate that because it raises the risk of clots.
the main thing the doctors are gonna look at is your hematocrit and blood pressure because if those are sky high it can be a red flag for clots during or after the procedure. i’ve had a couple surgeries while on trt and i always make sure to stay super hydrated and maybe even donate blood a few weeks before if my labs look a bit heavy. definitely dont hide it from the anesthesiologist though because they need to know what your baseline is so they can keep you stable while you're under. as long as you aren't currently "blasting" and your heart rate is chill you should be totally fine to go ahead!
