Using Mast or Primo to manage E2 instead of an AI?

I've been debating whether I should just pick up some Masteron or Primobolan to help dial back my estrogen instead of sticking with an AI. Right now, I'm running 280 mg of Test a week - my levels came back at 2500 and my E2 is sitting at 100. I started taking 0.5 mg of Arimidex every three days after seeing those numbers, but I'd honestly prefer to use a compound that can manage estrogen while actually helping me put on muscle at the same time.

My main concern is DHT and my hair. If I'm using Dutasteride and decide to run something like 250 Test and 250 Mast, am I just going to cook my hairline? On the other hand, if I drop the Mast down to 125 or 150 mg, would that keep my DHT levels more reasonable, or would that be too low to actually keep my estrogen in check? I'm really looking for some input on the best way to balance this out.

mast or primo aren’t really “estrogen control” the way people hype it, they just kinda mask it a bit. if your e2 is actually that high you’ll probably still need some ai anyway. and yeah mast + dut isn’t some magic shield for hair lol if you’re prone it can still go. i’d probably just dial the test a bit lower first before stacking more stuff on top and chasing numbers around

as for the estrogen side of things 100 is definitely high but if you are not getting spicy nipples or feeling like an emotional wreck you might not need to crush it that hard. 125mg of mast might help a little with the bloating and the "wet" look but it probably wont be enough to act as a full replacement for an ai if you are a heavy aromatizer. if you really want to protect the hair but ditch the adex maybe try bumping the test down a bit and adding in something like deca or tbol that is friendlier on the scalp. but yeah if you throw 250 mast into the mix just be ready to see some extra hair in the drain—it is basically just a trade off for that grainy look!

the other tricky part is that mast doesn't actually lower your e2 levels like an AI does—it just masks the symptoms and competes at the receptor. so your labs might still show an e2 of 100, but you won't feel bloated or get spicy nipples. if you drop the mast to 125mg it might be way easier on your hair, but it probably won't be enough to handle the side effects of 280mg of test if you're a heavy aromatizer. honestly, if your hair is the priority, i’d stick to the low dose arimidex and maybe just bump the test down a bit until your e2 is manageable. balancing muscle and hair is the ultimate struggle, but once those follicles are dead, they aren't coming back lol!

if i were in your shoes i would probably lean toward the primo side instead. maybe try running it at like 150-200mg with your test. masteron at 125mg might help a little with the bloating and the "look" but its probably not gonna be enough to keep your e2 from climbing at that test dose. plus if you already struggle with dht sides mast is just gonna speed up the process lol. i'd say grab the primo and start low to see how your body reacts before you go full blast and lose all your hair for no reason.

on the hair side, dutasteride does help with DHT conversion but it doesn’t fully “protect” you from the androgen load, especially if you add more DHT based compounds on top. even lower mast doses can still be enough to notice shedding in people who are sensitive, it’s very individual.
