so im planning out my next cycle and im thinking about stacking test and anavar together. the plan right now is to run about 300mg of test a week and maybe throw in 25mg of anavar every day. do u guys think thats a solid setup for an 8 week run or should i be looking at something else entirely?
just for some context im 50 years old and honestly i havent touched any gear in like 3 or 4 years now so its been a minute. my main goal is just a solid body recomp - nothing too crazy just
at 50 and coming off a long break that is actually a really smart and responsible way to start back up. 300mg of test is plenty to get the fire going again and 25mg of var is a nice "feel good" dose that wont wreck your lipids too bad. i think you'll be surprised at how much your body remembers even after 4 years away!
honestly i love this plan because it isnt over the top. a lot of guys our age try to jump back in with crazy doses and just end up with high blood pressure and joint pain. the anavar will give you that nice polish and strength boost without making you feel like a science experiment lol. 8 weeks is perfect for a recomp- good luck man.
welcome back to the dark side lol! 300 test and 25 var is basically the perfect "gentleman's cycle" for a solid recomp. you wont gain 30 pounds of water but you'll definitely tighten up and feel like a beast in the gym again. just make sure you have some liver support for the var just in case even though its a low dose.
man i wish more people started back this way. since it has been a few years your receptors are totally fresh so you really dont need much to see huge changes. if you stay on top of your cardio and keep the diet clean that 300mg of test is gonna feel like a lot more. enjoy the gains brother!
at 50 i think that's a perfect way to get back into things. 300mg is enough to feel great without your blood pressure going totally crazy and the var will give you that nice polish. just watch your lipids because even low dose anavar can mess with your hdl pretty fast
honestly man after 4 years off you're gonna feel like a god on 300mg test lol. i'd probably run the test for 12 weeks instead of 8 though because it takes a while to really kick in and see the recomp. 8 weeks is a bit short for the injectable part imo
for a recomp that sounds solid but make sure your diet is dialed in. gear doesn't do much for body fat if the calories aren't right but with that stack you'll definitely hold onto your muscle while you lean out. keep us posted on how the joints feel on the var
i'm 52 and i run something similar once a year. just a heads up that anavar can sometimes make your joints feel a little dry or clicky. if that happens maybe drop the dose a bit or add in some extra fish oil. 300 test is a solid "old man" blast haha
don't expect to turn into arnold in 8 weeks but for a steady recomp it's a very smart and conservative plan. i like that your not jumping straight into a gram of gear after a long break. slow and steady is better at our age for sure
are you going to be doing trt after the 8 weeks or a full pct? at 50 jumping off completely can be a bit rough on the recovery side of things. if your already on trt then this is a perfect little "add-on" to your cruise
300 test and 25 var is basically the ultimate feel-good cycle. you'll get the strength gains from the var and the libido/energy from the test. just check your prostate/psa levels before you start since its been a few years!
solid setup but i'd run the var for the last 6 weeks of the cycle instead of the whole 8 weeks. gives your liver a bit of a break and you'll finish the cycle looking really dry and hard. good luck man
man i wish i could get away with 25mg of var lol i don't feel anything unless i'm at 50mg. but since you've been off for so long you'll probably respond really well to it. enjoy the pumps they're gonna be insane!
welcome back to the dark side haha. 25mg of var is a sweet spot for most guys especially at 50 since it's not too harsh on the system. just make sure you're taking some liver support like nac or tudca just to be safe even if it's "mild"
