so first off i know this is a peptide thing but this felt like the best place to ask since you guys actually know your stuff so sorry if im in the wrong section or whatever
im 42 and started this cut about 3.5 months ago when i was around 23% body fat and honestly i've hit a wall at 13% now. i started reta at 4mg split into two shots and it was literally like magic for a few months but eventually the hunger came back and i bumped it up to 5mg a week.
problem is my body just got used to the 5mg too and every time i try to go higher than that i get these insane sulfur burps and gas especially after 5pm it’s the worst when i lay down to sleep and honestly smells like straight garbage. it legit lasted a week and only went away when i dropped the dose back down and i tried to push through it three separate times but same thing happened every time so i guess ive hit my limit with reta - pretty sure its just slow gastric emptying and the food is just sitting there fermenting in my stomach lol
im starting to switch over to tirzepatide now but i still want to keep some reta in the mix because of the benefits with gh. my plan is to drop the reta way down to maybe 1 or 2mg once or twice a week and then pin tirz on mon/wed/fri at 2mg each dose. i've done the low dose reta twice now but its too early to tell if its gonna work out or if the gas is gonna come back
has anyone else dealt with this or have any better ideas on how to stack these? would love to hear if anyone has gone through the same thing or if im totally overthinking this protocol - thanks!

sounds like you just hit your personal ceiling with reta. dropping it low for the gh benefit and letting tirz do the heavy lifting makes sense to me
same thing happened to me around 12-13%. magic at first then hunger creeps back and sides get louder. cutting gets way harder there
i had way less gas on tirz vs reta honestly. slower ramp helped a ton tho, jumping doses always messed me up
you’re probably right about the gastric emptying thing. laying down at night made it so much worse for me too smelled unreal lol
low dose reta + tirz combo seems to work better for a lot of guys. i’ve seen people run 1mg reta just for the synergy and be fine
doesn’t sound like overthinking to me at all, you’re listening to your body. worst case you tweak it again but you’re already lean as hell man

42 is when the metabolism really starts playing games with u so i feel the struggle on that 13% wall. honestly if the food is "fermenting" maybe try some digestive enzymes or ginger chews? it sounds stupid but it helped me with the slow emptying issues when i was pushing the dose too high.
you're definitely not overthinking it man. stacking them is pretty common now but that mon/wed/fri schedule for tirz seems like a lot of pinning lol. i usually just do tirz once a week and micro-dose the other stuff. if 1-2mg of reta doesn't trigger the burps then you've found your sweet spot.
13% is actually pretty lean for 42 so dont beat yourself up too much! if you're switching to tirz just be careful because it hits the hunger suppression way harder than reta for some people. keep an eye on your protein intake so you dont lose too much muscle while you're trying to kill the gas issues.
