hey guys just looking for some advice-im 25 and on trt (been hypogonadal for years so my dr has me on 120mg test cyp and 1000iu hcg) i started trt back in may 2025 and decided to start a cut in august for a while there I was making awesome progress but i hit a massive wall about a month ago. ive gone from 240 down to 200 and dropped from like 33% body fat to maybe the mid 20s now. my goal is to hit 175-180 before i even think about a first cycle since that would put me in the mid teens but man im just stuck right at 200. i should mention im also on 6mg of retatrutide but it feels like i just cant break this mark. are there any other compounds worth using for this final push just to help with the fat loss and staying motivated in the gym or is this just how it goes and i should just shut the fuck up and slog it out to 180? i have a bunch of stuff ready to go both orals and injectables and im so tempted to just start but im trying to stay disciplined and not touch them until my body fat is lower cause i keep hearing how easy it is to waste a first cycle by cutting. if you guys have any tips for breaking a plateau besides the usual eating more or doing less (already trying that) i would really appreciate it.

40lbs down since August is huge man, dont let the plateau get in your head. honestly if you're already on reta and trt, adding more compounds might just complicate things. sometimes the body just needs a week or two at maintenance calories to reset the hormones before the scale starts moving again. keep grinding.

i feel you on the 200lb wall - it’s like a rite of passage lol. honestly if you start a cycle now at mid-20s bodyfat you're just asking for high estrogen and more side effects. id say just stay disciplined and slog it out to 180. the reward of starting that first cycle when you're actually lean is way better than rushing it now.

have you tried changing up your cardio? maybe swap some steady state for high intensity or vice versa? if the diet is dialed in and the reta is doing its thing, it might just be a stubborn water retention thing. stick with it, you're almost at the finish line for that first real blast.

congrats on the progress so far!! 240 to 200 is no joke. if i were you id stay away from adding more orals or injectables yet. maybe just a "diet break" for 5-7 days? eat at maintenance, let the stress levels drop, and then go back into the deficit. usually breaks the stall for me every time.

definitely dont waste the first cycle on a cut. you'll regret it when you see how much better the gains are when you're starting from 15% bf. the motivation dip is normal when the scale stops moving but you've come too far to mess up the plan now. just keep pushing man, 180 is right there.

man going from 240 to 200 is no joke - your body’s prob just adapting. the closer you get the leaner, the more stubborn it gets

i wouldn’t add more compounds yet. sometimes a small calorie drop or just walking more each day breaks the stall for me

you’re doing the right thing waiting on a cycle. starting one at higher bf usually just turns into a bulk anyway lol

plateaus suck but they usually mean you need a change, not necessarily more drugs. even switching up training style helped me push past one

honestly might just need time. fat loss isn’t linear at all… you’ll be stuck for weeks then suddenly drop 3‑4 lbs outta nowhere
