hey guys, got bloodwork coming up in a couple weeks. I’m basically running a TRT++ setup right now and ended up grabbing a bunch of ancillaries with a bulk order - threw in some ezetimibe too since a buddy of mine uses it and the price wasn’t a big deal.
question is, does it actually make sense to run it if my lipids aren’t out of range? or am I just taking something I don’t need, maybe even doing more harm than good?
I’ll know where everything stands soon once I get labs back, but honestly I’m expecting my lipids to be fine. just trying to figure out if it’s worth using proactively or better to wait and see
i’m a big fan of the "less is more" approach when it comes to ancillaries especially if the labs look solid. taking stuff proactively sounds smart in theory but every drug has side effects and you don't want to start messing with your digestion or anything else if you don't have to. i'd just toss them in the cabinet and save them for when you decide to do a real heavy blast or if your next bloodwork actually shows your ldl climbing. definitely wait for those results before you start popping them just because your buddy does!
plus it mainly hits ldl absorption, so if your numbers come back fine you’re not really gaining much. feels like one of those things that makes way more sense as a fix than a preemptive move.
i’d just chill and wait for labs honestly. ezetimibe is great when you actually need it but running it “just in case” doesn’t really buy you much if your numbers are already fine.
man if your lipids are already in the green i wouldnt even bother with it right now honestly... ezetimibe is great for blocking cholesterol absorption but if you dont actually need to lower your numbers you're just putting extra stress on your system for zero reason. plus if you start taking it right before labs you wont even know what your "natural" levels look like on this current blast which is the whole point of getting bloods anyway lol. i’d just keep it in the drawer for when you actually run some harsh orals or something that really nukes your hdl and ldl. no point in fixing something that isnt broken especially since you're only a couple weeks out from seeing the actual data on paper just wait and see what the doctor says first bro
