I've been noticing some weird reports lately from guys using Test Decanoate. Even when the gear is tested and accurately dosed, people are getting bloodwork back with lower numbers than they expected.
I know it’s only a handful of people and there could be a million different reasons for it, but I’m curious if anyone else has run into this. Have you guys noticed a drop in your levels when switching to Decanoate compared to what you’d usually see on the same dose of Cyp, Enanthate, or Sustanon?
Scientifically, it doesn't really add up—aside from the fact that the ester is heavier so you get slightly less actual hormone per mg—but it’s still interesting that these stories keep popping up. Just wondering what everyone's experience has been with it.
I think you hit the nail on the head with the ester weight thing. Decanoate is a massive ester compared to cyp or enanthate - so if you're running 500mg of decanoate, you're actually getting way less raw testosterone than 500mg of test e. That usually explains the "lower" numbers on paper even if the gear is legit.
honestly i think people just forget how long it takes for decanoate to actually peak in the blood. if guys are getting bloods done too early it’s gonna look like underdosed gear when really it just hasn't fully saturated yet. i'd give it at least 6-8 weeks before even checking levels.
i switched from sust to test deca last year for a cruise and felt like my libido tanked a bit. my bloods were definitely lower than what i usually see on sustanon at the same dose. it’s weird because logically it should be fine but my body definitely noticed a difference.
man decanoate is just so slow lol. i bet half the guys complaining are just impatient or like you said - not accounting for the ester weight. its like a 10-15% difference in actual hormone once you do the math. definitely worth keeping in mind if your trying to hit a specific number.
could also be the injection frequency? if someone is pinning deca once every two weeks like a doctor prescribes, the troughs are gonna be massive. even with a long ester i still prefer pinning at least once a week to keep things from swinging too much. just my two cents!
I ran Deca test once and my numbers came back lower than expected too - felt fine tho, just didn’t match what I was used to seeing on cyp
Same dose as my usual E cycle but labs were noticeably lower. Strength and mood were still solid tho so who knows
I always figured it was just less actual test per mg + slower release. Bloods don’t always tell the whole story if you feel good
Noticed smoother levels but less of that punchy feeling I get from cyp/sus. Kinda steady but not as “loud” if that makes sense
Could be the super long ester taking forever to fully build up. I didn’t feel “maxed out” until like week 6-7 honestly
